From Paris to New York and everything in between
I am reblogging this because with all the weird genetic manipulations, and the Monsanto interfering with nature and what not, we have forgotten this… all fruits and vegetables are NOT in season ALL THE TIME. Most are SEASONAL.
I remember waiting impatiently for my grandfather’s pomegranate tree’s fruits to ripen at the end of the summer / beginning of autumn. I remember his fig trees becoming fruitful in the middle of the summer. I remember eating watermelon by the beach of the Caspian sea in the heart of summer as well. I remember his peach trees and mulberry tree giving us their best in the springtime. And parsimons in the fall, and dates in the winter with hot tea under hot blankets.
I had a wonderful childhood.
