UCB Training Center Diversity Program Updates

ucbdifference:

Some upcoming events/information:

1) Meet-up Friday June 15, 5-6pm. Come hang out at the Training Center and meet/talk to other students/performers/writers. Immediately after the meet-up is the Training Center Open House (6-9), so you can stay the whole evening and make new friends and talk about improv and sketch!

2) Practice Session Saturday June 16 1-3pm. Those of you interested in trying or getting some practice with improv can come to a free practice session Saturday June 16 1-3pm.

3) Meet-up Saturday June 30 1-3pm. We’ll also have a diversity program meet-up the weekend of the 14th annual Del Close Marathon. Come by and maybe meet some out-of-towners! For those of you who don’t know the Del Close Marathon is an annual celebration of improv that centers around a weekend of non-stop improv across four stages. For more information, see here: http://delclosemarathon.com/dcm14/

4) Scholarship Applications for June. I’m working on an online submission process for scholarships this time, so it’s taking me longer to get the application up. But it should make things easier for us in terms of reading the applications, and it will be better for the environment. If you’re getting this email, then you’re on the email list and I’ll send out a notification when the application is online so you don’t have to worry about missing it. I’m hoping to get it up this week, but it depends on some technical matters.

About Me

I am a French-Iranian woman in New York. I have a passion for comedy, and have been lucky to be performing all over New York since 2010. I was a TV producer and a head writer for a morning live news show in France, as well as a free lance journalist and a book editor for many years.

Now, I am a life and a career coach (member of
ICF
) and a comedian, and an improviser and a show producer - because life is too short and I want it all!

Also, I believe in love.

I am a performer at the UCB & used to produce a show at The PIT in New York.

Check out my indie teams: Pou&Nic and PANTS!.

My other blog: International Comedy Team

My French blog: La Vie à l'Impro

I used to be involved with the Diversity Initiative at the UCB and manage their blog too: UCBDifference.tumblr.com

I fight cancer with a passion - I want to contribute to a world where cancer will be as benign as a simple cold. Where you can donate against cancer of any kind and give hope to families and patients
