It just occurred to me today that I have only been willing to dye my hair red in the last year or so because Ellie is in LA. Like, if she were to come back I would probably have to go brown, because I couldn’t deal with trying to be a redhead in her presence?

She’s coming back for DCM so I will probably have to assiduously avoid her, because she still intimidates the heck out of me.

Oh, and don’t worry dudes. I find some men funny, on occasion.

I’m a HUUUUUGE fan of Col. Chris Hadfield (and I am not a fangirl type of gal)! He made Space cool again and accessible. He is showing that having a brain and being good at math and science doesn’t mean you can’t be creative and awesome! He is very generous at sharing his space experience and he doesn’t take himself too seriously (have you SEEN his conversations with the Star Trek “crew” like Captain Kirk and Spock??)… all around a great guy it seems.

I hope he’ll make a lot of kids want to be good at math and science and go to Space; and I hope he’ll help people develop self judgement when it comes to the crap they are fed by the GOP (some of whom, may I remind you, don’t believe in science) and believe in science and learn and grow.

The other cool one is Bobak Ferdowsi, the ground control guy with stars in his hair and a mohawk, remember?

Space is cool you guys. Science is cool

I love this more than anything today, Internet. My dad was a pediatrician and he practiced his work with endless love for children and to make them feel better and healthier. Good doctors are priceless.
